The lodge open houses in Conn are coming up in mid-October (the 19th, IIRC).
Unfortunately, in most towns, they won't get much walk-in traffic. That's why I've been suggesting that we move our lodges to the local shopping malls.
Maryland has been doing them for a couple of years now, and they have generated a significant upswing in new membership at our lodge. I cannot say that they have strengthened any ties with the community, but more people know we are there.
